Set beside the rounded shield in this range, the difference is how far the taper runs. This one narrows harder and finishes in a defined point rather than a soft curve, so the silhouette is taller and more directional. It reads as a badge pointing downward, which suits a vertical placement where you want the eye led down the surface — a door edge, a fork leg, the side of a tall case, a pillar.

The tighter taper also crops the flag more aggressively. The lower celeste band is cut down to a narrow wedge by the point, leaving the white band and the sun to carry the upper two thirds of the badge.

The flag is the ceremonial national version: celeste, white and celeste with the Sol de Mayo centred. The sun has a human face taken from Inti, the Inca sun god, and thirty-two alternating straight and wavy rays. It commemorates the May Revolution of 1810 and was added in 1818 to the flag Manuel Belgrano created in 1812.
