The crossed-flags arrangement is one of the oldest ways of showing national allegiance on a badge, and it does something the single flag cannot: it shows both the hoist and the fly of the design at once, so the black, red and green bands appear twice and the white emblem reads twice over. Each flag here carries the full device — the mosque with its mihrab and minbar, the wheat wreath, and the Solar Hijri date 1298, which is 1919, the year Afghanistan regained control of its foreign affairs.

Three small stars sit in the gap above the crossed poles, and the words MADE IN AFGHANISTAN curve along the base in widely letterspaced capitals. The phrase is part of the printed artwork — a statement of heritage worn by the person putting it on, in the same spirit as a national football badge.

The design is drawn in flat black and full colour on a white ground, so it holds up on dark paintwork as well as light. Two identical stickers per pack, printed on glossy vinyl and contour cut around the flags, the poles and the curve of the lettering. Sizes 5–50cm / 2–20in, peel and stick, no transfer tape.
