This one earns its place on things that get carried and used — a rolling tool chest, a road case, a laptop lid, the back window of a work van. The heavy black border reads as a stamped plate rather than a sticker, and the caption bar underneath does the talking without needing any explanation.

The flag inside the frame is the black, red and green vertical tricolour with the national emblem centred in gold: a mosque seen from the front, its mihrab prayer niche facing Mecca and a minbar pulpit beside it, ringed by two sheaves of wheat. The date beneath the mosque, 1298, is the Solar Hijri year that corresponds to 1919 — the year the Treaty of Rawalpindi returned control of Afghan foreign affairs.
