Can you spot the shape? Barbados is the easternmost island of the Caribbean, a pear-shaped slab of coral limestone about 34 kilometres long, broad at the southern end where Bridgetown sits and tapering to a point in the north. This sticker fills that outline with the flag, ultramarine down each side, gold through the middle and the black broken trident centred, so the map and the flag read as one thing.
It is the map for a car's rear window, a laptop lid, a cricket bag, a suitcase or the glass of a travel agent's door, and the flat version of the two Barbados flag maps in this range; the other is extruded into a gold-edged 3D slab. Both show the same outline, from the south-coast beaches to the Atlantic east coast and the Scotland District in the north-east.
The flag dates from independence on 30 November 1966, the trident snapped from its shaft to mark the end of colonial rule. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the coastline with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
