The Aeronca 7AC Champion — the Champ — is one of the aircraft that taught postwar America to fly: a fabric-covered tandem two-seater on a taildragger gear, light enough to be flown from a grass strip and simple enough to be rebuilt in a barn. Thousands are still airworthy, and the script on the side is a large part of the type's character.
This decal reproduces that script as a die-cut pair, one for each side of the fuselage. The connecting strokes between letters are cut as part of the shape rather than left as separate pieces, so the word arrives as one continuous run of vinyl and cannot drift out of line.
Two stickers per pack, any width from 10–55cm / 4–21in, in a choice of 19 colours — dark shades on a light fuselage, cream or white on a painted one. Transfer tape sits over the top, so the whole word moves across together. Degrease the surface, position from one edge, squeegee across, then peel the tape at a shallow angle.
Off the aircraft, the same script suits a hangar wall, a workshop door or the lid of a flight case.
