The Skipper was Beechcraft's own two-seat trainer, the Model 77, introduced in 1979 with a T-tail and a low wing so that flight schools had a modern, easy-to-fly aircraft for first lessons. The number in the name is the model designation, which is why it appears here in giant slanted figures beside the word.
The lettering borrows a swash italic from the printed brochures of the period. The S begins with a big lazy loop, the k and p carry teardrop terminals, and the e ends in a clean flick. Each letter is solid and heavy, which makes it a good bold decal despite the flourishes.
It is a natural for the flight-school bag, a headset, a logbook, an instructor's toolbox or a laptop covered in sticker pilots collect. Both stickers read the same way. At 12cm the swash detail is clear; at 40cm it can sit across a club-room door.
