Two die-cut stickers, each reading Sundowner 150 on a single line. The 150 is the horsepower figure in the model name of this Beechcraft Sundowner, the fixed-gear Model 23 that clubs and private owners flew through the 1970s.
Here the name is hand-lettered. The S stands tall with a curled terminal, the u, n, d, o, w, n, e, r are joined by loose brush strokes with slightly rough edges, and the final r finishes with a small hook that dips below the baseline. The 150 uses the same slanted hand, with a sloping 1, a swung 5 and a round, open 0.
The script is much softer than the blocky Sundowner 180 variants nearby, so it suits owners who prefer a signwriter look. Put it on a cowl-edge mock-up, a flight bag, a toolbox, a car window or a hangar noticeboard. Use 15cm or above to keep the roughness readable.
