Two identical stickers, each one piece of cut vinyl with the two words and their underlines joined on a single sheet of transfer tape. The letters are tall and thin, so the design reads best from 15cm up; at the 10cm preset it is still legible on a smooth phone or laptop, and custom sizes to 120cm are cut for a van or a wall.
The lettering is a rough, condensed hand-drawn style, the kind found on 1980s and 1990s rock sleeves: uneven cap heights, strokes that thicken and thin as if inked with a brush, and a scratchy underline beneath each word. It reads BATON ROUGE, which is both the Louisiana state capital and the name of the hard rock band whose debut album Shake Your Soul came out in 1990, and the sticker works for either.
It belongs on a guitar case, an amp, a laptop, a pickup rear window or a fridge in a kitchen that misses the South. Nineteen colours are available; black on a pale surface or white on a dark case keeps the thin strokes readable. A second listing carries the same artwork written for vehicle use.
