Two identical strips, each one piece of cut vinyl about three times wider than it is tall. The blackletter forms are heavy with narrow gaps between strokes, so the word holds together well at the 10cm preset on a phone or a headstock, reads cleanly at 20cm on a laptop or a case, and cuts to order up to 120cm for a van or a wall.
The style is textura-type blackletter in lowercase: diamond-topped verticals, thick diagonals that join the letters, a b with a tall spur, an a with a closed bowl, a c and an o that are more hexagon than circle, and a final s with a sharp tail. It is the lettering of medieval manuscripts and 1990s metal demos, and it reads beacons, a band name set as a logo.
It belongs on a guitar case, a cab, a battle jacket backing board, a laptop or a record crate, and the heavy letterforms also make it a usable plain word for a lighthouse-themed boat or a hiking club. Nineteen colours are available; black on a pale surface, white on a dark case, gold on black for the illuminated-manuscript look.
