This is the bat for the top edge of a window, the underside of a shelf or the top of a door frame, anywhere there is a straight line to hang it from. The bar is part of the cut, so the bat does not float: stick the bar along the top of the glass and the bat hangs below it, and two or three packs along a wide window make a roost. It also works upside down on a laptop lid or along the rim of a lampshade.
The shape is the roosting pose seen in every cave and loft: feet hooked over the perch, wings wrapped tightly round the body like a cloak so the outline tapers from the shoulders down to the head, and the head itself tucked at the bottom with two round eyes and a hint of ears. Everything is one solid piece of vinyl, with the eyes and a small gap under the feet as the only cut-outs.
Two identical stickers come in each pack. At the 10cm preset the bat is about 10cm tall, which suits a window pane or a jar; 20–30cm suits a door or a mirror; custom sizes to 120cm are cut for a shop window or a bedroom wall. Nineteen colours are available; black on glass is the classic, white on a dark wall reads as a cave painting.
