Set this beside the downstroke bat in the same range and the difference is the wings: there they are swept back, here they are opened out almost flat, which makes this the widest and most symmetrical of the realistic bats. The ears are the other tell, tall and leaf-shaped like a long-eared bat's rather than the stubby points on the emblem-style silhouettes.
Because it is so symmetrical, it is the one to use centred: over a door, in the middle of a window, on the back of a laptop lid or the top of a mirror. The scalloped wing edge and the little feet keep it looking like an animal rather than a logo, and it is cut from a single piece of vinyl with no background, so only the shape goes on the surface.
Two identical stickers come in each pack. At the 10cm preset the wingspan is 10cm, a badge for a jar or a phone; 20–30cm is the window size; custom sizes to 120cm are cut for a Halloween wall or a shop front. Nineteen colours are available; black is the obvious choice and white works on dark glass or a navy wall.
