A trail looks best when the prints do not line up exactly. These four are spaced on a diagonal so that, stuck on a wall, they feel like a bear passing through. The two large ones are the hind feet, long and narrow with a rounded toe curve; the two small ones are the front feet, each with the little oval heel dot that a real front track shows.

It is a nursery and cabin favourite. Stairs, a hallway skirting, the side of a bookshelf or a boot-room wall all take it well, and the black shows up clearly on cream, white or pale wood. In a lighter colour it works on a dark front door as well.

Each print has its own toe dots, so the pieces are fine at the small end. The transfer tape keeps the pairs spaced as drawn, which means you can lift the whole trail onto the wall in one go and then move on to the next.
