Afghanistan Flag Stickers (2-Pack) – Laurel Shield Crest

SKU: 107-028118

A heraldic shield carrying the Afghan tricolour, edged in gold and framed by a pair of laurel sprays that curve out to either side, with a ribbon knot at the foot. It is the most formal design in the set, and the one that suits a display case or noticeboard.

The white device in the red band of the Afghan flag is a mosque, and it is worth knowing what you are looking at before it shrinks to sticker size. The building is drawn front-on. The arched recess at its centre is the mihrab, which marks the direction of Mecca; the stepped structure to one side is the minbar, the pulpit an imam preaches from. Two small flags stand at the corners. Around all of it runs a wreath of wheat, and below sits the date 1298 in the Solar Hijri calendar — 1919, the year of independence in foreign affairs.

Here that flag is mounted on a heraldic shield rather than shown loose. The shield is edged in gold, laurel sprays curl out from behind it on both sides, and a small ribbon knot finishes the point. It is the most formal design in this set, and it is the one that looks most at home on something already a bit ceremonial — a display case, a club noticeboard, a framed backing card, the door of a workshop locker.

Two identical stickers per pack, printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and contour cut around the shield, the laurel tips and the ribbon. Sizes run 5–50cm / 2–20in, and they peel and stick directly with no transfer tape.
