Compared with the other round Afghan medal in this range, this one shrinks the flag and widens the frame: a small circle of the tricolour sits in the middle of a broad, pale silver ring, so the badge reads first as a rosette award and second as a flag.

The black, red and green bands still carry the white emblem of the mosque in its wheat wreath, and a glossy gold rim runs round the silver with two folded gold ribbon tails below. It makes a neat prize sticker for a school project, a cricket kit bag, a laptop or a card for an Afghan friend.

Both stickers are printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the ring and ribbons. Clean the surface, peel the backing and press each one down from the centre outwards.
