The wording here is more explicit than on the companion design: it carries the date itself, 19th August, above the greeting, so the sticker states the anniversary rather than just naming it. That date is the signing of the Treaty of Rawalpindi in 1919, which ended the third Anglo-Afghan war and handed control of Afghan foreign affairs back to Kabul. The same year is stamped on the national emblem as 1298 in the Solar Hijri calendar — the numerals visible beneath the mosque on the flag at the right of this bar.

Reversing the layout matters more than it sounds.
