Strip the tricolour away and what remains is the emblem, which is what this design leads with. Rendered as a red disc with the device picked out in cream, it shows the mosque head-on: the mihrab arch that indicates the direction of Mecca at the centre, the minbar pulpit beside it, two flags at the shoulders, and a full wreath of wheat sheaves closing around the whole thing. Beneath the mosque sit the numerals 1298 — the Solar Hijri year matching 1919 — and under those a scroll with the country name in Dari.

The roundel overlaps a cream plaque with rounded corners, on which the wording sits in red with a small ornament below. The colour scheme is the reason to choose it: cream and red instead of the strong red used on the other Independence Day bars, which makes it far easier to place on a pale surface without the sticker shouting.

Two identical stickers per pack, printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and contour cut around both the disc and the plaque so the two-part silhouette is preserved. Sizes 5–50cm / 2–20in. Peel and stick, no transfer tape needed.
