Which of the three red bars should you pick? They carry the same message and the same red plaque, and the difference is entirely in how busy the right-hand side is. This is the most decorated of them: below the stacked lines of type runs a repeating row of small fan or shell motifs, a border pattern that fills the lower edge where the other two leave plain red or a single ornament. If you want the sticker to look celebratory rather than plain, this is the one; if you want the wording to carry on its own, one of the others will read cleaner at small sizes.

The occasion is 19 August, Afghan Independence Day, marking the 1919 Treaty of Rawalpindi that ended the third Anglo-Afghan war and restored Afghan control over the country's foreign affairs.
