Stick this on a classroom door for 21 February or a cupboard door for Pohela Boishakh, the Bengali New Year on 14 April, and it reads straight away as party bunting. The Bangladesh flag hangs from a rod with gold arrow tips, the green cloth folds around the red disc, and the bottom hem is cut into a zigzag of four sharp sawtooth points, which is the most decorative of all the banner hems in this range.
It also works as a row: because you get two identical stickers per pack, a pair hung side by side on a shop window or along a shelf edge looks like a strip of festival bunting, and extra packs extend the row. On a smaller scale it fits a notebook cover, a laptop corner or the lid of a lunchbox.
The flag's green is the land of Bengal and the red disc its rising sun; the design has flown since January 1972. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the rod and the zigzag with a narrow white border.
