This banner fills a square space better than any other Barbados pennant in this range, so it is the one for a cupboard door, a square window pane, the back of a chair or the centre of a laptop lid. The cloth is cut wide, almost as broad as it is tall, the black broken trident sits large in the gold centre band, and the shape finishes in a short point at the bottom like the base of a shield. A thick rod with gold ends runs across the top.
Set beside the slim pointed banner and the deep-point pennant, this is the heavy, broad-shouldered one, which keeps the trident readable even at the smallest preset size. The folds in the cloth are shaded so the banner looks like it is hanging rather than printed flat.
The trident has three prongs for government of, for and by the people, and its shaft is broken to mark independence on 30 November 1966. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the rod and cloth with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
