On a car this goes on the boot lid or the rear quarter panel, where a plaque-shaped badge looks like it belongs; on a laptop it sits centred on the lid, and on a cricket bag it fits the end pocket. It is the Barbados flag inside a wide gold-rimmed badge with a gently curved top and angled lower sides, the ultramarine at the ends, the gold centre carrying the black broken trident, a glossy highlight sweeping across the face, and two short gold ribbon tails hanging beneath.
The scalloped outline makes it the widest and most plaque-like of the Barbados badges in this range, which suits horizontal spaces where the diamond and the rosette would look cramped. It reads as a car-club or regatta badge.
Barbados adopted the flag on 30 November 1966; the trident was broken from its shaft to mark the break with colonial rule and its three prongs stand for government of, for and by the people. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the badge and ribbons with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
