Racing sponsor decals from the period rarely stopped at the logo. This one wraps the standard Agip tile in a full checkered-flag border and adds team above it in a red italic script that overhangs the panel edge, so the cut follows the lettering rather than boxing it in.

The centre tile is the familiar arrangement: the six-legged dog breathing a flame on a rounded yellow field, with the inline Agip wordmark on a white strip beneath. Everything outside that tile — the chequer, the red script — is what separates this from the plainer badges in the range.

Where it works

The chequer border reads best with clear space around it, so it suits a flat panel rather than a crowded fairing already carrying other sponsor decals. Common placements are the tail unit of a race replica, a paddock stand, a van rear door, a garage window and the lid of a tool chest.
