The flag-with-a-twist decal comes from American bass-boat culture, where the stripes stay and the star field gives way to whatever the owner fishes for. Here the canton holds a largemouth bass, the most-chased freshwater game fish in the United States, cut as a clear shape inside the solid block: the big jaw, the notched dorsal, the deep belly and the forked tail are all there in negative.
The stripes are cut as long bars, slightly rough along the edges so the whole thing reads as a hand-painted flag rather than a printed one. Because it is a single colour of vinyl with no background, the surface shows through the white stripes and the fish, so the effect changes with where it goes: on a white hull the stripes vanish and only the dark bars and canton remain; on tinted glass a white cut gives the full flag.
It is wider than it is tall and sits naturally along a boat's gunwale, a truck's rear window, a cooler lid or a tackle box. Two identical stickers come in the pack. The 10cm preset is a small badge; 30cm is the size for a hull or a tailgate; custom sizes to 120cm are cut for a garage door. Nineteen colours are available.
