The longest and lowest of the Bataleon marks, this one is cut for narrow strips: the edge of a snowboard topsheet, the frame of a bike, the strap of a bag, the top edge of a laptop screen, a sun-strip on a windscreen or the sill of a car door. At 55cm it is still only about 7cm tall; custom sizes to 120cm give a full-length board or van graphic.
The lettering is handwriting rather than type. The strokes are thin and angular, joined where the pen did not lift, the A's are open triangles, the L and E are quick ticks and the final N runs off into a long tail. It is the tag-style version of the logo, the way a rider might scrawl it on a lift pass.
Because the strokes are thin, this mark is best from 15cm up, where the gaps between lines stay open; the 10cm preset still works on a smooth surface like a phone or a helmet. Bataleon is the Amsterdam snowboard company behind Triple Base Technology. Two identical stickers come in each pack, each one strip of vinyl in a single colour. Nineteen colours are available.
