Where would you put a face that stares back? The grizzly here is drawn straight on, with the ears out wide, the brow pulled down into a frown and the eyes narrowed to slits. The nose pad is a flat, wide block with deep nostrils and a small white highlight, and a pointed beard of fur hangs below the chin.

The fur is drawn in sharp, flame-shaped tufts that sweep out from the nose over the cheeks and up across the forehead, which makes the head look like a team crest. The white parts of the picture, such as the highlights and the eye whites, are open cut-outs in the vinyl, so the colour you pick only shows as the dark fur.

It works well as a pair on the front doors of a truck, on a motorcycle tank, on the side of a helmet or on a hunting-club banner. A size of 15cm or larger keeps the eye detail clear, and 40cm makes a striking tailgate piece.
