Physically it is an ordinary flat printed sticker — the depth is entirely in the artwork. The top face carries the black, red and green flag with the gold emblem, and beneath it a bronze-brown wall is drawn along every south-facing edge, with a blurred shadow underneath to seat it. From more than a metre away it reads as a machined plate stuck to the surface.

That illusion depends on light direction, which is worth a moment before you apply it: the shadow falls down and to the right, so it looks most convincing on a vertical surface with light coming from above. Laid flat on a desk lid it still reads well, just less dramatically.
