Which of the Barbados badges is the medal? This one: a full circle with a brushed silver face inside a polished gold rim, a glossy domed disc in the centre that carries the blue and gold of the flag and the black broken trident, and two gold ribbon tails hanging from the bottom. The silver face sets it apart from the gold shield and gold oval in this range, which are gold throughout.
A medal is the right badge for a trophy cabinet, a sports bag, a graduation keepsake, a race-day helmet or a laptop, and the round shape sits easily on a phone case or a water bottle. Fans of Barbados cricket, with its long line of great players from Garfield Sobers onward, use it as a supporter's badge.
The flag inside dates from independence on 30 November 1966; the broken trident is the island's own symbol, cut from the colonial badge's full trident. Printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and cut round the medal and ribbons with a narrow white border. Two identical stickers per pack.
