Barney Rubble is the short, cheerful half of television's first prime-time cartoon double act. The Flintstones went out on ABC from September 1960, and for six seasons Barney lived next door to Fred in Bedrock, bowled with him at the Water Buffalo lodge, married Betty and adopted Bamm-Bamm. Mel Blanc gave him his easy chuckle for most of the original run.
This decal uses the classic model-sheet pose: hands tucked behind his back, weight on bare feet, the tunic torn to a zigzag hem and a stray lock of hair over the forehead. It is drawn as open line art rather than a solid silhouette, so the inside of each figure is clear vinyl-free space and whatever surface sits behind shows through. On tinted glass or a dark bonnet a white or yellow cut works best; on light paint choose black or brown.
The pack is a mirrored pair, one Barney looking left and one looking right, so they can bookend a rear window, flank a garage door or go one each on a laptop and a lunchbox. Pair him with the Bamm-Bamm decal from the same series for the full Rubble household.
