Where does a sticker like this go? Anywhere you would put a crest: the top corner of a car side window, a helmet, a laptop lid, a team bag or a bedroom door. The laurel sprigs make it wider than a plain shield, so it fills a square space more evenly than a tall one.
The shield is gold-edged with a glossy highlight over the green. The flag colours fill it in Benin's layout, with a green band at the left and yellow above red at the right. Behind its lower half, thin golden sprigs with tiny leaves curve up on both sides, and two gold ribbons come out from under the shield point.
Laurel has stood for victory since ancient Greece, where winners of the Olympic and Pythian games were crowned with it, and it is still the usual sign of a champion on medals and sports crests. Pairing it with the Benin colours gives a ready-made supporter's badge for athletes and fans of the national team.
The gold stays bright against dark backgrounds, so this is a good option for black cars and dark helmets.
