A wide badge fits where a tall one will not. The capsule shape runs about twice as long as it is high, so it sits easily across the lid edge of a laptop, along a toolbox, on the top of a helmet or along the flat of a car boot lid, with the two small ribbon tails tucked underneath the middle.

The flag inside is the flag of Benin. The green band is cut off by the rounded left end of the capsule, and to its right a yellow block sits over a red one. A glossy swoosh sweeps across the green, and a soft pink glow brightens the lower corner of the red, which gives the glass panel a wet, jelly-like look.

A thin polished gold rim wraps the whole capsule, and the ribbons below have a dark line down each fold. Benin is a long, narrow country running north from a short Atlantic coast to the Niger river, so a long, narrow badge is a fitting way to show its colours.
