Nothing in this print is smooth. The toe pads are lumpy, the heel pad has a notched outline and the claws are long, tapering slashes, set apart from the toes as they would be in a mud or snow print. It looks as if it has been cut by hand out of black card, which is exactly why it suits rough surfaces such as an old truck, a weathered boat or a workshop door.

The pad has an unusual outline, wide at the top with a long tail to one side, and it makes each print look like a distinct individual rather than a stock icon. The two copies in the pack are stacked one above the other with a slight shift, so the pack has the feel of a track rather than a pair.

The long claws are narrow, so put the sticker on a clean, flat surface and press them down firmly through the transfer tape before you peel it away. The size range runs from a small tool-box badge to a full wall.
