This is the design to choose when the surface is wide and mostly empty. The pole runs the full height of the sticker and the flag flies off to one side, so it needs horizontal room to the right of wherever you place the pole — a rear windscreen, a van side panel, a locker door, the lid of a large flight case. On a narrow surface the flag ends up cropped by the edge, and one of the hanging pennants in this set is the better answer.

The flag is rendered with the fabric caught mid-wave, so the vertical bands curve: black at the hoist against the pole, red through the centre carrying the white emblem, green running out to the fly. The emblem is a mosque seen head-on, showing the mihrab arch that marks the direction of Mecca and the minbar pulpit beside it, ringed by wheat sheaves, above the Solar Hijri date 1298 — 1919 in the Gregorian calendar, when Afghanistan regained control of its foreign affairs. This flag was flown nationally from 2004 until 2021.

Each pack holds two identical stickers, printed in full colour on glossy vinyl and contour cut around the pole, the base plate and every curve of the flag. Sizes 5–50cm / 2–20in, measured on the longest edge. Peel and stick straight on — printed stickers use no transfer tape.
